Hello! I’m Katie Shive; welcome to my blog. I am a marketing professional, graduate student and avid runner. My love for marketing first began in my early twenties when I took a position at Mammoth Resorts in the marketing department. I wore many hats and gained experience in several areas, including advertising, branding, sponsorship, event management, public relations, and customer experience marketing.
Fast forward nearly a decade and a lot of life experience later, I work as the Customer Experience Manager at Bristlecone Holdings and put my passion into play by changing the way our company engages with our greatest asset- our customers- through branding, public relations and social media marketing. I believe creating unique customer experiences has the power to turn one-time transactions into a loyal brand ambassadors.
Communication, teamwork and integrity are three core values that motivate me to produce my best work. I strongly value taking risk, failing forward and learning through the process. I hold a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno, and am currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
